Afgelopen zaterdagavond stond er een kraker op de agenda. De heren van Groene Ster, derde van de competitie, speelde een thuiswedstrijd in De Borgh tegen nummer twee: PSV uit Eindhoven. De mannen van Groene Ster begonnen de wedstrijd fel. Door in de verdediging goed te staan en snel over te schakelen naar de aanval zodra PSV een fout maakte. Hierdoor stond Groene Ster binnen enkele minuten voor met een stand van 6-2. Na deze goede start kwam PSV wat meer in hun spel en er werd meer afgerond. Groene Ster daarentegen had moeite om de keeper te passeren, hierdoor trok PSV de stand gelijk en pakte voor het eerst in de wedstrijd de voorsprong. Deze voorsprong hebben ze in het restant van de eerste helft niet meer uit handen gegeven. Groene Ster ging de kleedkamer in met een achterstand van ??n punt.
In de tweede helft startte PSV een stuk feller en vergrootte de voorsprong met een aantal doelpunten. Groene Ster had het nog steeds moeilijk om de bal in het goal te krijgen de eerste minuten van de tweede helft. Na een aantal minuten begon het weer te lopen en werd er om-en-om gescoord. Groene Ster stond degelijk te verdedigen waardoor PSV er niet doorheen kwam. Mede door een aantal tijdstraffen werd de stand gelijkgetrokken door Groene Ster en bleef het tot de laatste seconde spannend. ?PSV had deze wedstrijd het meeste geluk en kon de twee punten mee naar Eindhoven nemen. Eindstand 27-28.
Groene Ster heeft deze wedstrijd onnodig verloren doordat er teveel ballen naast het goal of tegen de keeper werden geschoten. Het mocht zaterdag niet zo zijn.?Aankomende donderdagavond is er een nieuwe kans voor de Heren 1. Zij spelen dan de eerste bekerwedstrijd van het seizoen tegen Blauw-Wit in De Borgh om 21.00 uur.
