Na twee gewonnen wedstrijden in de competitie stond zaterdagavond Aristos uit Best op de planning voor de Heren 1 van Groene Ster. Groene Ster begon niet geconcentreerd en miste gelijk de eerste kansen van de wedstrijd. Aristos daarentegen scoorde de eerste kansen wel en ze kwamen in de eerste minuut al op een 2-0 voorsprong. Door deze twee snelle doelpunten werden de heren van Groene Ster wakker geschud en begon het steeds beter te draaien. Aanvallend werden de kansen afgemaakt en verdedigend stond Groene Ster goed genoeg zodat Aristos even niet wist wat te doen. Dit resulteerde naar een voorsprong voor Groene Ster van 5-2. Het sterke spel heeft Groene Ster vastgehouden tot de rust, mede dankzij het goed keepen van Thomas Crezee. De ruststand was dan ook 10-17 in het voordeel van Groene Ster.
In de tweede helft leek het erop dat de heren er vanuit gingen dat de buit al binnen was. Groene Ster startte zeer matig de tweede helft en Aristos kwam weer terug in de wedstrijd. Waar Groene Ster ruim tien minuten niet meer wist te scoren, scoorde Aristos veelal vanuit de hoek vrijwel elke kans. Met nog een paar minuten te gaan was het verschil tussen beide teams nog maar ??n punt. Door wat slordigheden aan de kant van Aristos bleef Groene Ster op voorsprong en kon in de laatste minuut de voorsprong vergroten tot drie punten. De eindstand was dan ook 27-30 in het voordeel van Groene Ster.
