Aan het begin van het nieuwe jaar stond gelijk een belangrijke wedstrijd op het programma voor dames 2. Er moest worden afgereisd naar Dongen. Dongen staat tweede in de competitie en geldt als de grootste concurrent in deze competitie. Voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd werd al duidelijk dat Dongen alle wapens in zou zetten om te winnen. De dames van Groene Ster stonden dus op scherp!
Met een volle, toch wel gespannen, bank werd begonnen aan de wedstrijd. Beide teams begonnen fel en hierdoor was het gedurende de eerste helft stuivertje wisselen. Ruststand 10-10.
Groene Ster begon de tweede helft gelijk geconcentreerd en dit had direct zijn uitwerking op de stand. Al snel kon een kleine voorsprong van 3 punten gecre?erd worden. Hierdoor werd Dongen gedwongen om iets te doen. Echter zorgde dit voor meer fouten bij Dongen. Groene Ster bleef geconcentreerd haar goede spel vasthouden en wist hierdoor de voorsprong steeds verder uit te breiden. Uiteindelijk kon de wedstrijd met een overtuigende einduitslag uitgespeeld worden 17-25.
