Op 17 en 18 mei vond alweer voor de zesde keer het Groene Ster Beachhandbaltoernooi plaats. Speciaal voor dit weekend werden, met behulp van sponsoren, de handbalvelden omgetoverd tot echte beachhandbalvelden.
Het weekend voorafgaand aan het toernooi was het weer nog niet beachhandbalwaardig. Het was dus spannend of de voorspelde verbetering van het weer ook daadwerkelijk uit zou komen. De weergoden bleken het beste met ons voor te hebben, want het was heel het weekend heerlijk weer!
Met 5 herenteams en 8 damesteams was het toernooi weer gezellig druk. De aanwezigheid van het zonnetje droeg bij aan een gezellige en gemoedelijke sfeer. Terwijl op het zand fel werd gestreden voor de beker, kon iedereen langs de velden genieten van het heerlijke weer. Op zaterdag is de toernooidag afgesloten met een heerlijke BBQ en een spetterende feestavond.
Alle teams waren erg enthousiast en kijken nu alweer uit naar volgend jaar. Dit geldt ook voor de organisatie van het toernooi. Zij willen dan ook alle vrijwilligers en lokale ondernemers bedanken voor hun inzet en sponsoring om dit geweldige toernooi mogelijk te maken.
